You'll have to excuse me, but I havn't been bothered updating this
thing in quite some time. I really don't know why i'm updating it
now to be honest. Anyway, on with the show.
Erm, in case you have been living under a rock for the past couple of
months, you'll know that Sharee and I are back together. So that makes
me really happy.
Over the recent weeks/months i've been getting back into my old modding
ways, although I have no idea why. I've started a few projects
recently, one of which is turning a scanner into a standalone CD player:
Unfortunately, In the picture to the left, after cutting the roof in
the CD-ROM, the CD would only play for about 1 minute before cutting
out, and then in the right hand picture, a CD would not play at all if
the lights were on. However, I have since found a CD-ROM that will work
in the light, and then theoretically will still work if I cut a roof in
it.
I've also successfully modded the top of the family's P4 1.4Ghz and
given it a new black paintjob, and and extra fan and sexeh grille! (I
dunno why this image came out yellow, so just ignore that)
Work has been boring the past couple of weeks. Most jobs have a
Christmas rush, whereas for us, the work slows down. I've spent a few
shifts recently making some bags up:
This involves folding the bag in half, then taping 2 of the sides together.
One of the best things about Christmas time, is the annual work
Christmas party, which involves plenty of free grog, free seafood, and
prizes:
Unfortunately, these tickets didn't win me anything this year. And in
case you're wondering, you get 1 ticket for every year that you've been
working for the company. I've obviously been there 2 years.
Another unfortunate matter, is the fact that I don't eat seafood. Meaning I didn't eat at the christmas party.
The problem with plenty of free grog, is that people tend to drink plenty of free grog. More specifically, I
tend to drink plenty of free grog. When the party was over, we stumbled
to DY RSL where we continued drinking, I have no idea who was paying
for all the drinks, but it certainly wasn't me.
At the RSL I started to feel unwell, so I slowed down and started
drinking water. I'd had more than my fair share of alcohol for that
day, we then proceeded to Manly via a taxi.
I don't remember much of Manly, all I can remember is meeting Sharee
there (she had just finished work by that stage), going to the top
level of the steyne and sitting for a bit. I then vaguely remember the
ride home, and when I got home, I rolled around in bed slipping in and
out of sleep, feeling sorry for myself until 3am, when I passed out.
It was a good christmas party. I didn't throw up after all.
Well, now it's summer, and the outdoor cinemas are starting up,
Christmas is on the doorstep, and the new year is a stonesthrow away.
It's been an up and down year this year. 2 car crashes, A breakup,
followed 5 months later by a makeup. 2 new feline additions to the
household, and losing my V plates :shiftyeyes:
Anyway, it's now 3am, and i'm tired, so I'll be off to bed. Since I
won't be posting for quite some time after this, have a Merry
Christmas, and a Happy New Year.
